I'd suggest the Stoeger 2000. Its based on the Benelli system but much cheaper ($450ish)! Got to see one in action this past weekend and it worked and functioned as well as my M1 that cost 2x. If I had to do it over again that's the route I would go.

For the money FNSLP is hard to beat it comes ready to compete. I really like my Benelli M2 but you need to spend some money right out of the gate to be competative. You can with the SLP but you don't have to.
Forget the Remington 1100. I have seen so many chock its not even funny. Pat |

Just picked up a 930 JM if it lives up to the hype, if it does it will be a great value. Going shooting tomorrow to find out.

Almost all of the matches around here run a tac ops rule of no more than 9 in the gun at the start. So I load 9 on the line before the squad starts the stage, put one in the chamber when im up, and then load one at the buzzer (if needed) I have the XXL nordic cap, so if I find a match that doesnt have that rule I can always have one in reserve. |

Up here we have USPSA rules matches and one club that shoots more matches than anyone else that has their own variation of IMGA rules. Then there is my match which mostly follows USPSA except for scoring which I use IDPA scoring because I find it easier. Pat |

The most popular shotugn by a long shot is 3 gun is the Benelli M1/M2 platform. The second most popular is the FN SLP.

I have a fn slp that I love. Other guns are great but I have been extremely happy with mine.

I have a Salient Arms custom M2 that shoots lights out but they have all but priced them out of most peoples budget. I would recommend the Versa Max tactical as I have seen them perform very well in matches with little modifications. Remington seems to have got it right this time so you might give them a look.
