Under most 3-gun rules there is no capacity limit in Tactical and Open divisions - only the usual magazine length limits. Heavy Metal usually has a capacity limit and caliber restriction.
In the case of your XDM, feel free to load it to 19+1 capacity. Bear in mind tough that if you are shooting under USPSA rules you will be scored Minor PF on pistol targets. No such problem with outlaw matches, of course. |

You can add a Canyon Creek extended base pad to those tiny 19 round mags and get 24 of them and still be legal in every 3 gun division. Canyon Creek Custom Extended XDM Magazine Base Pads |

as long as the magazine is 140mm or less... you can have as many rounds as you can get in it.

I believe the Glock 22 round .40 mags are made with USPSA in mind and are legal at 140mm but you should measure one to be sure.

Capacity won`t put you into a different class, as long as the magazine is 140mm long. Anything over 140mm long on a double stack magazine puts you into open.

Pat I wish they'd make them in 9mm so I could buy a bunch and not have to spend almost the same price as the mag on extensions. Also an uninterrupted mag body is probably more reliable. |

The 22 round Glock mags are NOT legal for Tactical. They are only about 1/4" shy of being 170mm, so they are fine for Open division.

I use pistol gear extensions for 28+1 in my XDm 5.25 but I also shoot in open.
