Hi all,

I have an Ironwood Designs laminated stock for a MAK90 that needs finishing. Any recommendations in the Philly area? Thanks!

Go to the bathroom- look in the mirror. It's not that hard.

Seriously, all you need can be found at any hardware store. If yours is like the wood he made for my MAK-90,it'll be beautiful.

No offense intended about the mirror, it really isn't that hard, and doing it yourself makes it that much better.

^^ No offense taken, but I'm really not good at that sort of stuff. I also don't have an outdoor area where I can work with chemicals, as I live in downtown Philadelphia. I use MPro7 to clean my guns because I don't think my neighbors would take it well if I brought my guns out onto the patio to clean them.

No chemicals needed. Just sand paper and a small bottle of True Oil that you apply with a clean cloth. Most people don't even bother covering their fingers with a glove because True Oil is non toxic.
And last but not least, the only way you get good at doing things, is by doing! Time to leave your comfort zone! There's something to be said about the satisfaction you achieve by doing things yourself!
