Hello everyone. I really wanted to wait to post pictures after everything was all finished, but I am excited lol. I just finished buying all the parts needed for my build. Lower is complete, and waiting for upper parts now. Here is the break down. Thoughts and constructive criticism welcomed!

Franklin Armory Billet Libertas Lower Receiver
PSA Gen2 MOE LPK and MOE Stock Kit (Both in FDE)
Raddick AR Series Mag Lock in FDE (I live in CA)
BCM Standard 16" Mid Length Upper Receiver Group
Magpul MOE Mid Length Handgard in FDE
Magpul MBUS Gen2 Rear in FDE
Magpul MOE Vertical Grip in FDE
ICE Arms BCG (EXO NiB M-16 Bolt Carrier Group, 9310 Bolt)
BCM Gunfighter Mod5 Charging Handle
TangoDown ARC 10rd Mag in FDE
Lucid HD7 Gen3 Red Dot

Here are two pics of what I have done so far. The upper in the pics is a BCM Blemished that I will not be using.

I did unfortunately scratch my lower when installing the bolt catch roll pin :( bummer!

I am a fan of painters tape (blue) I have a roll basically everywhere in my house.

The safety looks, odd to me. But everything else looks pretty sweet so far.

Ya, painters tape or masking tape, gotta keep it at hand and use it to prevent those things from happening. Brownells seels a cold blackening solution for Aluminum you might want to check out. Sometimes BassPro shops or other Sporting related retailers carry it as well.

The scratch does not bug me very much, as I expect this rifle to get some wear and tear overtime. Thanks for the fix idea by the way.

I put down 5 layers of painters tape in just strips. Now do I really need it still.....no but I just don't like to give anyone a gun with any defect on it.

You've got an extra stripped upper that's gonna turn into another rifle before you know it

Here is the finished product. It tuned out better looking than I expected. Next up is range time to zero my irons and red dot.

Here are two more pictures with the bcg. Also, in these pictures you can really see the difference between my billet lower and bcm's forged upper. It is not very noticeable in person though.

I took the AR out shooting for the first time this weekend. Everything operated flawlessly :) I am very happy with how this rifle turned out. Here is a quick video of my dad shooting.
