Really wanting to get a .308 AR. Seeming how I got one DPMS AR15 already wouldnt mind sticking with them I really seem to like mine. Also I read alot of good things about LR-308 rifles. I was searching around and found www.rguns.net anyone order from here? Seem to have good prices and seem to stock alot. I am looking for a 18-24" SS bull barrel, would be doing alot of target shooting and some long range varmints if the occasion arises. What kind of accuracy are you getting out of LR rifles?

I ordered my DPMS LR-308 from them a couple years ago, smooth easy transaction.

They are a volume dealer, and compete on price; customer service not so much. If you order something that takes 12 months to get from the manufacturer and call them every 3 days, do not expect a positive result.

If you order something in stock, and have your FFL lined up, you are good to go.

There are many threads and a few horror stories. I think a lot of the negative is due to the Great Obama Gun Scare of 2008-2009, where everyone ordered everything at the same time. Things have calmed down a lot since then.

Oh, and those DPMS rifles are good to go, you plan on getting a real trigger; the stock GI trigger sucks. Maybe a chamber polish. And some LR Pmags! Most are MOA easy.

You'll get a lot of responses from people about rguns.net. While I haven't ordered from I know a couple people that have and were happy with the deal. They are not the best for customer service but hard to beat price wise. Make sure they really have it in stock if you decide to order from them.

I have a DPMS LR308 with the 24" stainless bull barrel. Mine also has the CRYO treatment and black teflon coating on the barrel. Be warned that the 308 ARs are heavy beasts (with scope bipod and full mag I'm looking at 15 pounds for mine). The stock trigger is probably pretty close to what your AR15 from DPMS has or maybe a bit heavier for the added power of the .308 spring. I have the JP adjustable trigger in mine and it's a big improvement. It will regularly put three shots touching at 100 yards with the fours or fifth opeening up the group. But I see the same pattern on all my rifles so I'm pretty sure I'm letting it down there. I know it will outshoot my meager skills at any rate. Soon as the snow melts it will be time to start practicing again.

They sucked over 10 years ago when I last dealt with them.

How can a felon own a firearms company? Seems strange if one could, but stranger things can happen.

Usually you put it in your wive's name, but I don't know the specifics of this situation. He used to brag about going shooting with the local cops and them not caring that he had firearms.

I plan on ordering a DPMS .308 from them in the next week or so. My friend from work ordered one and got his in just a few days. They have pretty good prices. Even the FFL my friend had his transferred to thought so.
