Anyone familiar with older Colt knives?

I bought this old Tanto knife in 1995, a few months before enlisting, and have had it in my Bug Out Bag for the past few years. Despite saying Colt on the side, I'm sure Colt didn't make it, and if I remember correctly, United Cutlery made it for them. I know it was made in the USA, but that's as far as I remember. The model # on the blade is CT10. Can anyone tell me anything about this knife? Did they make it for a while? Is it worth anything?

I personally have no idea, but if you want to sell it, let me know.

I don't want to sell it, I like the knife a lot. They don't look like they were going for a lot on eBay in the past.

Probably not worth more than you paid for it in 95 as nothing made by United Cutlery will be a collector piece that will go up in value.

That is what is known as a "fantasy piece"; the only value it has is to the owner. I have a hunting style one (gift), I place more value on my mag spring than it. If you like it; enjoy it -that's what it's all about.

hey my Dad bought me that same knife around the same time!

it was a good knife

I gave it to a good friend who was sick, he bought the farm a few months later . I used it to gut a few deer. it was sharp as hell and strong,

I think they had two or three other models in the "colt line" at that time. that was the best looking one

thought the sheath was less then great though

I was looking on eBay to see if any were being listed, and they are selling for around $10 less than I paid in 95. Since its clearly not a collectible, I'll put it back in the BOB. FWIW, it really is a nice knife.
