Edit:
Long and the short of it, if you'd like to go hunting in north central Florida let me know. While I do have all the gator hunting gear I I don't have a boat but you can use 2 of my tags if you bring yours.

PM me and we'll figure it out. You'll have to buy a $60 agent's license but that's it.

The season ends 1 hour after sunrise November 1.

Damn!! thats a deal. I wish I had a boat..I hope you get to go. For those interested keep in mind. Gator Meat is going for about 9bux a pound at the local seafood stores. And the hid is worth quite abit as well.

Anyone in southern GA or AL interested?

Miami, Atlanta, and Mobile are all within 6hrs driving.

If you just want to go out there and get a pair of 3-4 footers we could easily be back at the dock within 3 hours.

Update.

I went out for 2hrs on Wednesday night with two buddies of mine and took a 5'3" male. Snagged him with a snatch hook after seeing him with binos from a distance and speeding over. Didn't bother to bangstick, just gaffed under the jaw, taped him, and then chiseled the brainstem to end it for him.

I didn't bother with pics of him "whole" as he wasn't a big dog, but if you want to see what a hide looks like in the process of fleshing, or what the head looks like after removing the jaw meat I can snap a few pics of that.

I did a decent job in skinning him out, put two really small holes in the hide by each armpit though But at least the belly skin is hole-free.

Anyways, only one week and a handful of permits left.

No one wants to go, huh?

The 9 footer we got this year:

My first gator, the 6 footer I got last year:
